Running the Systems, Security and Comms Departments here at the Sauna as I do, you may be interested to know that people have started bringing various typewriters to my office which they claim to have found in closets all over the building. It's been quite a job to prevent the technicians from firing them up (they are all electric, not a manual Underwood in the place) and seeing what they can do with them.
can bass: I can only thank providence that we don't have vestries, chancels or crypts. Who knows what might lurk in those depths.
major: not even in jest. Our last 240v typewriter finally died its death last year but we still hang onto it. And we really do have an old Imperial sit-up-and-beg for doing spine labels.
