My God, how "instead" can you get?

Maybelle's found a discarded sheet from one of the myriad printings-to-be-corrected of the draft briefing notes for the staff consultation meetings. It's had her in fits of laughter. Apparently, Policy Team is:

'an open and honest team taking collective responsibility for communicating with staff, delegating wherever appropriate and mentoring staff so that they can take on new responsibilities.'

It's like small children who can make the noises but not understand the words.

There must be a crib-sheet for library managers (supplied on that "leadership" course they all seem to have been sent on?)

We're having a staff conference next week and finally received the bumpf today (I'd a fiver riding on it not turning up till the day itself!) We've a million-bullet-point purpose and vision to be "embedded within the organisation" that includes stuff like this, including a culture that "does not require 'permission'!"

If they have to say it you obviously need it!

It's great therapy to realise I am not on my own in this mire of total lunacy! I have periods of trying to understand, and even minutes of trying to comply with the increasing madness, but then I decide it is a waste of a thought process.
