In an old whitewashed pagoda looking eastward to the west
I just love getting last-minute pieces of work that have been lingering in somebody's inbox for a few months. Especially when that someone then spends the best part of half an hour explaining why it's everybody else's fault but his that it's coming my way at this stage of the proceedings.

I don't usually explain the quotations in the titles (there's a blog of its own there!) but I'll break my rule this once: it's the opening line to an old Billy Bennett monologue.

In that case I'll commend to you "My Mother Doesn't Know I'm On The Stage". At some point either me or the Webrarian will end up doing these monologues at the end of one pier or other.
