Nature red in tooth and carpets

For the second year running, peregrine falcons have successfully nested on the old Town hall at Umpty.

"That's splendid news!" said Frog to the Countryside Officer.

It's not so splendid when you get half a pigeon dropped on your head as you're clocking in for work."

That's no way to treat their food, someone must be overfeeding them!

You'd think they would have higher standards re environs like the ones I saw nesting by a small loch near Callander. Do you think they are like humans and either city folk or bumpkins?

I can send you some recipes for pigeon, if that would improve things.

Nota Bene: all our flying pigs have been grounded for the season

Macy: ah. Good point.

Happy Frog & You: see my response to NB (-;

Pat: the ones in Manchester are definitely city folk.

zmkc: ta, we'll let the Countryside Officer know.
