Unbelievable tales from One Who Knows.‘It is a comfort in wretchedness to have companions in woe’.
We're taking a bit of a breather while the world rearranges its underpants. Meanwhile, the other blog is here.
I love your blog! In fact, I am reading it instead of working. It makes me feel quite nostalgic for the good old days in the London Borough of XYZ......Did you not pick up any nice freebies at Online?
It should be assumed that the answer's yes. These things are always good for stationery and crockery but the best of the bunch was a combined tape measure and spirit level. I don't know quite how this equipment is relevant to the organisation involved but it greatly appealed to me. A colleague who works there assures me that they have their own planetarium, too, which makes me wonder if I shouldn't have held out for an astrolabe.
We had pens, Quality Street and a chance to win a Wii on our stand. (Which of course kept us happy for three days, saying to passing trade..."would you like a Wii?". Well, life is kind of dull as a supplier (or vendor as we get called these days)
The Wii would have put me off: I'm no good with technology. (-:
