A drop of the hard stuff

"The printer's not letting us print the notices for tomorrow's author event," says Maudie.

"Shall we have yet another look at the settings to see what's wrong this time?" asks Maisie.

"Bollocks to it," decides Maudie.

I'm also with Maudie on this one.
All a printer has to do is print - why does it always find it so difficult?

The printer has a moral sense. Call it HAL and see if it responds.

Maisie is surely the better human being but it's Maudie who'll get the man, you mark my words, life's like that.

Just keep Maudie away from spanners, hammers and monkey wrenches till she settles

We'd do better with some spuds, a scalpel and some poster paints. Maisie and Maudie are models of patience.

can we skip the paper (printing) and just do wall projection displays and emailed picture files?

Wendy: no we'll just chalk on the wall with donkey stones
