It could ruin your tinkle

Bronwyn and I have had an argument.

"For God's sake! You're not taking that manual home to read over the weekend."

"It'll be all right. It's a bit of light reading for me."

"No. You shouldn't take work home to do."

"Hark who's talking!"

"And which of us has had the nervous breakdown then?"

Needless to say, she still took the manual home with her. We're both of the same age, which means that any slight advantage in the argument I may have had in our youth has more than evaporated.

Good job Bronwen has you to look out for her.

What was the manual about though? It must be pretty scarey!

Maybe she was propping up her kitchen table with it, but just wanted to make it sound like she was working. After all, who would want to admit to having a wobbly table these days?

She'll learn... Suggest to her that she divide her gross pay by hours actually worked, and double check she's still actually earning above the national minimum. :)

Pat: I'm not so sure.

Gadjo: we're worrying about next year's book-buying already so we're trying to build in a few processes whereby we spend like fury before they take the money off us again.

Madame DeF: in Helminthdale, wobbly tables are as good as you can hope for.

Macy: we stopped doing that a long time ago. And that's before next year's massive wage cuts!

I'm a late comer here, but I'm gradually warming to the plot.
