Advice on mascara and all things undead

Swapping news with Ken Barmy he tells me that they've had a compulsory poll for the name of their council's corporate newsletter and that the announced result is "Staff Matter."

"The post-in vote for 'Pile Of Vacuous Shite' was obviously disqualified," he says.

At least what you get out of it will be influenced by what you put in.

Darn, can't believe that was disqualified, for it definitely had the Topiary vote.

Moo!

'Staff Matter' sounds awkward and stilted. Sorry, but it just lacks flow. Too many consonants I think. And what is with the no 's' on the end of "Matter"?

Reminds me of those high brow papers that don't include a "Sports" section. For them, it's "Sport"

Madame DF: like the sewage system...

Ms. Cow: mine too!

Lavinia: I think the corporate bods wanted to give the entirely erroneous impression that they care about the staff. To me "staff matter" is stuff like dandruff, eczema peelings and navel fluff.
