The chill cold night made fools of our senses
I go into the staff room to get a cup of tea and find it in darkness. Four people are sitting round the table, looking at the ceiling. I'm feeling heavily jocular.

The concept of "The Other Side" works in so many situations, and if the persons referred to are arrogant and alienating enough you don't even have to kill (though it helps, obviously).
True 'Mushroom Management' principles demand staff to be in the dark ALL the time!
I overheard a conversation today which puts this into a whole new context!
